"Revamping NPP UK's Electoral Landscape: A Member's Appeal for the Recognition of External Branches as Constituencies Beyond 2026"

A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) external branch in the United Kingdom has appealed to the party’s national leadership to formally recognize external branches as full constituencies in future internal elections.
According to the member, granting full constituency status would ensure fair representation, strengthen the party’s global structures, and enhance the contributions of the growing NPP diaspora community.
He emphasized that external branches play a critical role in mobilizing resources, shaping party discourse, and supporting national campaigns, and therefore deserve equal standing within the party’s electoral framework.
According to Kofi A. Ogoe, this proposal is borne out of the practical experiences and concerns expressed ahead of the 31st January 2026 Presidential Primaries, during which external members relied heavily on proxy voting which has been cancelled.
according to him, the proposal seeks to strengthen internal democracy, increase transparency, and enhance diaspora participation in a structured and sustainable manner.
